R&B supergroup RSVP — Ray J, Sammie, Bobby V and Pleasure P — brought 2000s R&B favorites to Detroit’s Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre. A viral video from the night, originally captured by PictureMeClubbing, has since been making its rounds across social media.

R&B fans packed the Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre along the Detroit riverfront on Friday night as Ray J, Sammie, Bobby V, and Pleasure P joined forces for a night of 2000s-era R&B favorites.

Together, the four artists make up the R&B supergroup RSVP, bringing their individual catalogs and collaborative energy to Detroit on Friday, August 7. The concert had originally been scheduled for June before being rescheduled as part of the amphitheatre’s 2026 summer lineup.

The night also produced one of the moments now making its way across social media. The viral video currently circulating online originated with PictureMeClubbing, another example of our footage reaching audiences far beyond the original event. And this isn’t the first time content captured by PictureMeClubbing has gone on to become part of a larger viral conversation.

For more than two decades, PictureMeClubbing has documented Detroit nightlife, concerts, entertainment, and culture—often capturing the moments people are still talking about after the lights come up.

The Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre’s summer concert schedule continues throughout August with more R&B, jazz, and live entertainment along Detroit’s riverfront.
